Ever Notice…

Ever notice how good sites or information has a way of dissappearing due to people not keeping their domains up or just getting tired of posting? I hate browsing to a forum and finding that the last entry was from last year. Seriously, what’s the use in running it but never posting to it. I hate how people will say oh so and so’s software or addon is great but when you go to read about it, their site is antiquated and their last updated was several years back. If it was so good, then why doesn’t the author of it give a crap?
Anyways, I’m just ranting about the retards seen on the internet. Nothing odd about it since there is a lot of stupid to behold.

Boy, do I hear you…
One of the worst ones is when you come across an issue with, say, writing code for something specific and then the link goes to a mailing list post from 2002 (no joke, happened to me twice this week). Turns out the data is outdated, too. It’s lame.
I think this is one of the dangers of the Internet. There’s so much useful data out there, but all it takes is for someone to not pay their hosting fees or get sick of keeping up their site and it’s all gone.
At least with books, what’s in print stays in print and someone, somewhere usually has a copy!
